Kfir Mordechay, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Leadership and Policy | Pepperdine University
Research Fellow | UCLA Civil Rights Project.

I am a scholar, educator, and policy consultant focused on improving access to opportunity in both education and housing. My research examines the intersection of race, place, and mobility—investigating how demographic shifts, land use regulation, and segregation shape educational systems and community development. I also study how housing and zoning policies influence patterns of neighborhood change and access to resources.

My work has been published in leading academic journals and featured in national outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and NPR. I work with policymakers, school leaders, and community organizations to translate research into practical strategies that support just and inclusive development.

I received my Ph.D. from UCLA.
